ABOUT ABOUT

Kristoph Kostoff (Dad Rock) plays the part of Adam Horovitz, a.k.a. The King Ad Rock. Kostoff is 43 and has been playing jazz guitar semi-professionally for over 20 years throughout Central PA. He has performed with Shawn Beck, a.k.a. DJ Cache for over 15 years with his improvisational hip hop project Compound, in which he plays 8-string guitar. Kostoff also has an acoustic trio with violinist Don Carn & trumpeter Mark Holman that he performs with occasionally. He currently runs the Friday Night Jazz at Victor’s Italian Restaurant in York, and has done so for the past 6 years, performing in a trio with various bass plyers and drummers from throughout central PA. Kostoff has been an avid Beastie Boys fan since he first heard the backward beat of Paul Revere on Power 99 out of Philly in 1986.

Kirby Sybert aka SYKE D is representing that upper west B-Boy in style. Born in Baltimore raised in PA Kirby currently lives in Philadelphia and tours the globe with the band Up the Chain. When he's not traversing or rhymin' and schemin' with the Brass Monkeys he works on movies and TV with shows like CBS' Elementary, NBC's Blacklist, Law & Order, Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay, Staten Island Summer written by SNL head writer Colin Jost and most recently the new Rocky movie, Creed. Kirby is currently working on his full length record with the band Kirby and the vībētrībē due out next year.

Dom Sciortino is proud to represent the late great MCA . He was solely a listener to rock music until Run DMC's "Raising Hell" blew his mind in 1986. His love for the Beasties followed soon after, and joining the Brass Monkeys was short work as he already knew most of their rhymes. He is also the guitarist/lead singer for longtime central PA act God Bless our Mobile Home and has played guitar with Six Whiskey Revival and drums with a Weezer tribute. His proudest feat other than bringing MCA's rhymes to the stage is making Beastie Boys fans out of his three sons.

Shawn Beck aka Cache has been djing the Central Pa area for close to 20 years now. Specializing in all things breakbeat, he's rocked most every club & bar throughout the region. He currently has a monthly at The Holy Hound on the first Thursday of every month spinning old school funk & soul. Known as Cache Master Hurricane when djing for the Beastie Boys Tribute band "The Brass Monkeys" he also takes on the keyboard duties fulfilling Money Mark's roll during their live sets. Cache also plays frequently with a hip-hop/jazz fusion band called "Compound" consisting of a revolving roster of local jazz musicians improvising over his beats. Many of the beats he uses are originals by his other alias "Wake Palace" which he uses when creating original compostions & remixes.
